Mackenzie Health and Sodexo Canada announced today the signing of a new 10-year agreement to provide a suite of integrated management services to patients, visitors, staff, physicians and volunteers at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital. Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital is currently under construction and scheduled to open in late 2020.
Sodexo has been a managed services solution provider and an important partner to Mackenzie Health for more than a decade. During that time, Sodexo and Mackenzie Health have successfully implemented innovative and integrated service solutions including:
- Creating an optimal healing environment (i.e. room cleanliness, freshly prepared meals).
- Managing a 24/7 centralized call centre that ensures the timely dispatch of all hospital and department protocols, including non-clinical support services and overhead announcements.
- Effectively running a centralized equipment management model, ensuring clean and working equipment is available when needed, in the right quantity and location.
- Providing safe and timely transportation of patients to and from clinical departments for testing, surgery and to their scheduled appointments within the facility.
As Sodexo continues to provide industry-leading practices and innovative technologies across all support services, its integrated approach at Mackenzie Health has positively impacted year-over-year improvements in patient experience and satisfaction levels, employee engagement and financial performance.
“We really value the support service partnership we’ve experienced with Sodexo for more than a decade,” says Altaf Stationwala, President and CEO, Mackenzie Health. “The innovative solutions they’ve brought to the table have played an important role in ensuring our patients and their families have the best possible experience.”
