With the opening of new unit C5 Procedures Purple, Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital C5 (C-Wing, level 5) is now a larger surgical ambulatory procedures unit. C5 Procedures Purple offers minor surgery/minor procedures, urology and ambulatory surgery, while C5 Procedures Aqua offers increased endoscopy services as well as interventional preparation/recovery and ambulatory cardioversions and transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) services. This increased capacity means patients have quicker access to services, in a pleasing and refreshed space. The diagnostic and therapeutic treatment options available mean that we are able to support continued care planning and treatment of health conditions without the need for these patients to be admitted to hospital. This refreshed space is located in the former home of our Woman and Child program, now transferred to Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. For more information for patients, please visit our surgery program webpage.
