Something bright is coming

This year, over five million Canadians will access mental health care and in our community of York Region, 1 in 4 people will experience mental illness. As Mental Health Awareness Week begins, we are reflecting on the strength of our community and the power of compassion.

Soon, we will be sharing something special. A new opportunity to help transform mental health care for patients and families, because no one should face mental illness alone.

“This is just the beginning. We’re ready to shine a light where it’s needed most – helping to build a strong future for mental health care in our community.”

–Jim Hughes, Program Director, Mental Health

Something bright is coming and together, we will light the path forward.

ICYMI: Celebrating our volunteers

Last week, we celebrated the dedicated volunteers of Mackenzie Health and Mackenzie Health Foundation whose passion for supporting health care in our community make a significant and meaningful impact, every day.

Whether lending their time to help raise vital funds or supporting patients and families, their contributions are woven into the very fabric of care we provide.

Leave a legacy month

For Angela Scarangella, a life-changing moment led her to update her will and include Mackenzie Health Foundation among the causes close to her heart. Her legacy gift is a powerful way to say thank you, and help ensure future generations receive the same compassionate care her family did.

This May, as we celebrate Leave a Legacy Month, consider leaving a gift and help shape the future of health care in our community.
