Mackenzie Health is pleased to announce the appointment of John Fursey as the new board chair for Mackenzie Health. John Fursey was appointed Chair of the Mackenzie Health Board of Directors at its Annual General Meeting on June 19. Recently retired as a Senior Partner and Vice President at IBM Canada, John brings more than 25 years of experience in management consulting and more than 15 years in financial management and audits. For more than 30 years, he has also held leadership roles on not-for-profit boards across a wide range of sectors. Since joining the Mackenzie Health Board of Directors in 2023, John has made significant contributions through his work on several key committees, including Finance and Audit, Human Resources and Governance. He currently serves as vice chair of the Planning and Development Committee. |
With his strong leadership and commitment to excellence in governance, the organization is well-positioned to meet the needs of our rapidly aging and growing communities in Richmond Hill, Vaughan and King in the years to come.
