Delivering exceptional care: Mackenzie Health is a dynamic health care provider, serving over a half million residents of York Region including the communities of Vaughan, Richmond Hill and King. Through a comprehensive health network, including Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital, the new Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, the York-Finch Reactivation Care Centre, a Long-Term Care home and community-based settings, Mackenzie Health provides access to high quality care across a wide range of health care services. Situated in a rapidly growing area, Mackenzie Health continues to expand to meet the evolving needs of our communities, while maintaining an unrelenting focus on exceptional, patient-centred  care delivery.

The future of health care: Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, Canada’s first smart hospital, opened its doors on February 7 as a unique system solution to support hospitals across the province experiencing capacity pressures as a result of the pandemic. It will open as a full-service hospital once the system has stabilized, resulting in Mackenzie Health becoming the 11th largest hospital system in Ontario. This state-of-the-art facility will work in tandem with Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital, the Reactivation Care Centre and Mackenzie Health’s community-based locations to provide the ultimate in care to our community. In the coming year, Mackenzie Health is poised for a renewed strategic plan that will set the next chapter in this growing organization’s story. At the same time, there is unprecedented change in Ontario’s health care system as the province moves toward integrated models of care and Ontario Health Teams. The pandemic has further highlighted the need for change. New Board members will join at an exciting time as Mackenzie Health embarks on a renewed strategic plan at an unparalleled time.
