We doubled the number of exam tables.

In what is a major win for cancer care in our community, our highly skilled medical oncologists now have access to four state-of-the-art exam tables, accelerating patient care at the Ruth and Stewart Coxford & Family Chemotherapy and Medical Day Unit.

The busy unit – which manages 12,000 patient visits and treatments every year – can now work at maximum efficiency. That means patients no longer have to travel long distances to get outstanding care and new patients can be seen within one week of referral. After that, critical treatment often begins in just a matter of days.

The new exam tables help us deliver patient-centred care every day. Patients are seen faster, and we have the tools to effectively do our job. It’s truly a win-win.

– Dr. Matilda Ng, Division Head of Oncology, Mackenzie Health

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO FOR MACKENZIE HEALTH.
