Mackenzie Health Volunteer Association is a self-governed organization that was established 1962 to bring a hospital to Richmond Hill. Fifty-five years later we continue to provide support to our membership, act as ambassadors for the Hospital, engage our community through special events and most importantly raise funds for necessary equipment. Over the last 55 years, we have raised over five million dollars for Mackenzie Health. In addition to this, we support our student volunteers with educational bursaries.
The Mackenzie Health Volunteer Association has pledged $500,000 in support of a Group Counselling Room within the Mental Health Day Hospital and Aftercare Medication Clinic and an Activity Room/Gymnasium within Mental Health, which will benefit the Mackenzie Health community.
