Mackenzie Health's Mental Health Inpatient Unit is a 25-bed unit with four specialized psychiatric intensive care unit beds to care for adults, aged 18 and older who are dealing with an acute mental illness requiring treatment and stabilization.
With our emphasis on recovery and using the patient experience as our focus, we strive to ensure high quality care that is patient driven and has clinical value.
Our interprofessional team includes:
- nurses,
- physicians (hospitalist/psychiatrist),
- community partners,
- social workers,
- patient care assistants,
- occupational therapists,
- recreational therapists, and the
- Central Local Health Integration Network (LHIN)
We value the integration of patients, families, and community providers in care. Patients can focus on their recovery by attending several therapeutic groups available daily to assist them in building skills to support their success when they return home.
