Mackenzie Health offers many outpatient programs and services for adults and families experiencing mental health challenges as well as an adult inpatient mental health unit.

Adult Outpatient Services
Aftercare Clinic |
The Aftercare Clinic includes nurses, psychiatrists and recreation therapists who work as a team to provide care to adults with a severe and persistent mental illness. The clinic provides care to patients receiving long-acting injections (LAIs) and also provides medication dispensing and monitoring for patients who are on clozapine. Centre for Behaviour Health Sciences |
Mackenzie Health's Centre for Behaviour Health Sciences provides care for individuals living in York Region or Simcoe County who have a developmental disability with a significant cognitive delay, autism or are living with the effects of an acquired brain injury. Crisis Intervention Team |
The Crisis Intervention Team is available 24/7 and provides assessment and intervention to patients presenting to the Emergency Department in an acute mental health crisis. |
Stepping Stones Mental Health Day Hospital |
The Stepping Stones Mental Health Day Hospital provides assessment, stabilization and individual and group treatment and education programs for adult patients experiencing an acute mental illness. |
Psychogeriatric Assessment Clinic |
The Outpatient Psychogeriatric Assessment Clinic provides comprehensive mental health assessment, treatment, and short-term follow-up for seniors experiencing an acute mental illness. |
Adult Outpatient Counseling |
Provides short-term individual and group counseling for adult patients who have an acute mental illness. Patients are assessed by a mental health clinician and therapy is provided every other week up to a maximum of 8 sessions. |
Adult Outpatient Urgent Clinic |
Provides 1 to 3 sessions with a psychiatrist for adult patients in need of timely follow up, by referral through the Emergency Department or from a community physician. |
Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Consultation |
This short term intervention provides an assessment and medication consultation for individuals who are over the age of 17. |
