As you walk through the hospital, you’ll probably notice people in purple vests. They are our dedicated volunteers. From all walks of life, our volunteers demonstrate kindness and patience as they provide a supportive and welcoming environment for our patients and families. If you are lucky, you may even see one of our furry volunteer friends from the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program.
Whether volunteers are assisting with wayfinding, registration, recreation or providing bedside visits, they play an integral role in providing a world-class patient experience. Each one of our placements is developed with the purpose of improving the patient’s experience, so
“our volunteers are placed where we feel they will provide the most support to patients and visitors.”
While we can’t guarantee a specific placement, we will work with you to find a placement that interests you and meets our current needs.
