As an important step to meeting the growing need for health care services in Vaughan in advance of the new Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital, Mackenzie Health today officially opened its new Urgent Care Centre (UCC) at 9401 Jane St., in Vaughan.
The Urgent Care Centre provides medical attention by experienced Mackenzie Health Emergency doctors and nurses for patients with non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries that do not require hospitalization or immediate surgery. The UCC provides on-site diagnosis and treatment services such as x-rays, casts, stitches and more.
The Urgent Care Centre is open 365 days a year and is staffed by Mackenzie Health’s Emergency Department physicians, and nurses. On weekdays, it is open from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. and weekends and all holidays it is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In operation since June 1, the Urgent Care Centre has already provided treatment for over 400 patients with an average of between 25 to 30 patients per day coming to the clinic for care.

When to go to an Urgent Care Centre
Visit the Urgent Care Centre for illnesses orinjuries such as:
- Sports injuries (sprains, strains or broken bones)
- Deep cuts
- Minor burns
- Fevers, coughs and colds
- Infections
- Earaches, eye injuries
- Nose and throat complaints
- Insect bites
- Severe allergies, skin rashes
The Urgent Care Centre, located at 9401 Jane St., in Vaughan is open to care for patients of
all ages with urgent but non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries not requiring hospitalization
or immediate surgery.
The Centre is open on weekdays from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and weekends and all holidays
from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
