Plastic Surgery Clinic

Mackenzie Health's Plastic Surgery Clinic provides expert follow-up care for hand and soft tissue/skin injury patients from our Emergency Department, Urgent Care Centre and local walk-in clinics.

The clinic is supported by plastic surgeons and a group of interdisciplinary professionals.

Referring a patient

Patients from the Mackenzie Health Emergency Department and Urgent Care Centre will leave their visit with an appointment in the Plastic Surgery Clinic. If you do not receive a follow up appointment, please call the Plastic Surgery Clinic at 905-883-2178.

If you went to another urgent care centre, a referral can be faxed to 905-883-2179.

How do I receive my appointment date and time?

If you are coming to the clinic from an urgent care centre, please allow two (2) to three (3) business days for an appointment.

A representative from the Mackenzie Health patient scheduling office will call you to advise you of the time and date of your appointment, and the time you should arrive.

If you receive a voicemail from the patient scheduling office, please call 905-883-1212 ext. 2004 from Richmond Hill or 905-417-2000 ext. 2004 from Vaughan to clarify the purpose of the call.

How long does a plastic surgery clinic visit take?

Your visit can take between one to two hours to complete. Factors such as how busy the clinic is, the different members of our team that will need to assess you, and whether or not you need an x-ray, can affect the length of your visit.

What do I do when I arrive at the hospital?

You may park in the visitors parking lot.

At Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital the visitors parking lot is just north of the hospital and enter through the D-wing entrance near the Emergency Department. Click here for more information on parking services.

During peak hours, parking can take longer than expected. Please allow yourself extra time to accommodate this. Alternate options are to take public transit, or to be dropped off by a family member or friend.

Check in at patient registration upon arrival. At Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital patient registration is located in the C-wing on level 2 (between the C-wing main lobby and the D-wing Emergency Department entrance) using our self-serve kiosks.
