Appointments at Mackenzie Health

Mackenzie Health is pleased to provide patients with multiple ways to schedule an appointment, allowing patients full flexibility to ensure their health care needs fit into their busy lifestyles.

Patients can manage their appointments at select clinics online through MyChart using our SMARTScheduling features including scheduling an appointment, rescheduling an appointment, getting on a wait list as part of our Fast Pass feature and cancelling an appointment. You can also call the Scheduling Office during business hours and a representative will be happy to assist you.  

Important reminders for your appointment:

  • Please bring your health card and an additional item of identification with you. Your health care team will check these items many times during your visit to ensure your safety.
  • Please be on time for your appointment. Patients who are late may be asked to reschedule. 
  • Please note that Mackenzie Health is a scent-free environment.
  • If you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms such as a cough, fever, sore throat or sneezing, please re-schedule your appointment.

  • Mackenzie Health has multiple locations, including Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital, Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital and a network of community-based locations. Please consult MyChart or your automated appointment reminder and ensure you go to the correct location for your appointment.

SMARTScheduling is currently available for the following clinics, with more clinics coming soon:

  • EEG/EMG (Neurodiagnostics)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)*
  • Ontario Breast Screening Program
  • Ultrasound
  • Echocardiography
  • Fluoroscopy
  • Mammography
  • Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)

*Please note that CT and MRI appointments are not available to be scheduled online, however, patients are able to reschedule, add to Fast Pass and cancel appointments.

Referred to Mackenzie Health for an appointment at one of the above clinics?

  • If you are already a MyChart user, you will receive an email notification when your appointment is ready to be booked.  If your appointment is not booked within three days of receiving the email, a representative from the Scheduling Office will call you to book the appointment.
  • If you do not have a MyChart account and have been to Mackenzie Health in the past, you can sign up at mychart.mackenziehealth.ca.

Please note that SMARTScheduling is available only to previous and existing patients of Mackenzie Health. If you have never been to our hospital, a representative from the Scheduling Office will call you to book your appointment within three to five business days of receiving your referral.

If you have been referred to Mackenzie Health for an appointment, a representative from the Scheduling Office will call you within three to five business days of receiving your referral to schedule your appointment, pre-register you over the phone and sign you up for MyChart if you choose. During this call, you will be provided with the following information:

  • Appointment date, time and location
  • Arrival time
  • Associated preparation instructions (if any)

Our Scheduling Office is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Scheduling Office can be reached at 905-883-1212 ext. 2004 from Richmond Hill and 905-417-2000 ext. 2004 from Vaughan. A representative will be happy to assist you in scheduling, rescheduling or cancelling your appointment.

A few days before your appointment, depending on your communication preferences, you will receive either an automated text message or phone call reminder to confirm or cancel your appointment through the automated system. MyChart users will also receive an e-mail reminder of their upcoming appointment with a request to log in to their account to confirm their appointment by using our eCheck-in feature.

Please provide at least one (1) business day notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Online

For appointments at select clinics, log in or sign up to MyChart to use our SMARTScheduling system to cancel or reschedule your appointment to a more suitable time that fits your schedule.
