Mackenzie Health's management of personal information is governed by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) and the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).

These Acts require us to protect your personal information in our possession. The Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC) oversees whether we comply with the privacy provisions of the Acts by investigating complaints.

Note that service providers under contract to provide services on behalf of or to Mackenzie Health must follow the privacy standards required of Mackenzie Health.

A cookie is a small text file that a website creates and accesses through your browser when you visit the site. Our website utilizes some cookies to track language preferences, provide customized web page content, and display website navigation history. We cannot identify you from this information.

Mackenzie Health may sometimes use an online external platform to send out newsletters to those who have signed up for news at Mackenzie Health. This platform tracks users’ interaction with the newsletter, including delivery, open and click rates, and can generate reporting on which device readers are using to open the newsletters.
