Patient Registration
This page will provide you with all of the information you need in order to register for your visit to the hospital.
We’re making registration faster and easier. Complete eCheck-in through MyChart to spend less time waiting and more time on your care.

Save time by pre-registering online before you arrive.
Through MyChart, you can:
- Verify your personal and insurance information
- Review your appointment details and preparation instructions
- Verify your family doctor on file
- Complete safety or pre-visit questionnaires
- After your visit, review your notes and test results
How it works
- You’ll receive an email and app notification seven days before your appointment.
- Log into MyChart and follow the prompts to complete your eCheck-In.
- Make sure you verify that your contact information and health card number are up to date.
Tip: Completing eCheck-In helps you avoid lineups due to missing or incomplete information and ensures your visit runs smoothly.

When you arrive at the hospital for your appointment:
- Go to the registration kiosks in the main lobby or clinic area.
- Swipe your health card or scan MyChart QR code to confirm you’re here.
- If there is missing or incomplete information, or you have not completed eCheck-in, you will be asked a series of questions to verify your contact information.
- The kiosk will print you a direction sheet and a Patient Registration team member will provide you an armband, directing you where to go next.
A registration team member is available nearby if you need help at the kiosk. Arrival confirmation through our kiosks is available in multiple languages with translation services available, as needed.

*For patients scheduled at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital in our Chronic Kidney Disease clinics, please check in at the front desk upon arrival. For patients scheduled in one of the Mental Health clinics located at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital, please check in using the kiosks located within the clinics.
