The beautiful, spacious, brand-new Mackenzie Health Wellness Centre is located at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital on Level 0, Room 0.935. It offers of a variety of gym equipment as well as a group exercise room. All Mackenzie Health staff, physicians and volunteers will have access to the Wellness Centre, regardless of the site you normally work at. Please note that the Wellness Centre is not open to patients or community members. Staff, physicians and volunteers will be able to see the facilities and try out the gym free of charge from August 16, 2021 until December 2024. The facility includes the gym area plus a separate room for yoga classes and small exercise groups. Equipment includes six treadmills, ellipticals, two stair climbers, two rowing machines, weight machines, and hand weights and other small equipment. There are change rooms with staff washrooms and lockers.

Staff have access to the Wellness Centre, at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. The Wellness Centre is not open to patients or community members.

Given the Wellness Centre is in a hospital environment, infection prevention and control as well as occupational health and safety protocols and procedures are of the utmost importance to ensure the safety and well-being of all. Safety measures are to be strictly followed.

Membership:  Membership is free until Dec. 31, 2024 for all staff, physicians and volunteers. To sign up, please complete the waiver form and questionnaire and email it to wellness@mackenziehealth.ca.

Changerooms, lockers and showers: Changerooms, lockers and showers are available for use.  

Cleaning: We ask that you use the hand sanitizer provided before and after your workout. Kindly disinfect equipment before and after each use with the disinfectant wipes provided. Call “0” to refill disinfectant wipes.
