Communicating Effectively When Negativity Strikes (Homewood Health Webinar)

Negative behaviour can dampen any conversation and can spin a web of negativity around any activity. This session will review some helpful strategies to assist with recognizing some common negative behaviours and how to effectively communicate when negativity is present.

Learning Objectives:

  • Reflect on the impact of negativity on the workplace and on their own resilience
  • Gain skills to overcome negativity in the workplace

Presenter Biography:

Cher Guest is a perceptive, analytical and responsive mediation and facilitation professional with more than 20 years’ experience helping individuals and organizations reach mutually beneficial outcomes. Cher’s solid background in Conflict Resolution, Coaching, Training & Development, and HR Management spans the manufacturing, consulting, airline, health and staffing industries. Cher is primarily focused on the human side of creating ownership when people are dealing with the impact of change.

Cher is committed to adding value to every engagement by translating all parties’ perspectives, motivations and goals into appropriate action. She does this by empowering participants with the skills to acknowledge and articulate emotions with respect so that they can deal with the underlying issues and move to a solution with shared accountability
