Richmond Hill, ON (June 12, 2019) –
On Monday, June 10, golfers hit the green at Mackenzie Health Foundation’s 24th annual Proud Partners Classic raising more than $175K for the Exceptional Care Belongs Here campaign to help build and equip the new Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital and enhance care at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital.
Mackenzie Health’s premier golf tournament was held at Eagles Nest Golf Club and attracted over 140 business and community leaders. 18 holes of golf in scramble format, along with delicious food stations, prizes and exciting on-course activities rounded out the day. The winning foursome was Royal LePage Your Community Realty.
“We’re grateful to the support of our community,” says Altaf Stationwala, President and CEO, Mackenzie Health. “Events like these helps fund important and life-saving equipment for our hospitals. Since 1995, the Proud Partners Classic Golf Tournament has raised more than $2.7M in support of new equipment and programs at Mackenzie Health and has become one of York Region’s most exclusive charity golf tournaments. Mackenzie Health Foundation is grateful to its many sponsors, including DG Group, Eagles Nest Golf Club, Elias Custom Metal Fabrication Inc., Lexus of Richmond Hill, Liberty Development Corporation, Michels Canada Co., Scotiabank and Sodexo Canada.
“It’s exciting to once again bring our community together, this time in 18 rounds of golf and networking,” says Ingrid Perry, President and CEO, Mackenzie Health Foundation. “Thank you to our golfers, sponsors and volunteers who helped make this event possible and raise critical funds for Mackenzie Richmond Hill and Mackenzie Vaughan hospitals.”
